The first ten minutes of the third game were picture perfect, we stuck to what we wanted to do. And then came bad penalties, high sticking, hooking and even a five on three. We spent too much energy killing penalties against a team that plays good defense once they have the lead. Bolzano stood back and waited for us. Their goaltender was very good, made great saves and deserves the credit – summarized head coach Marty Raymond.
In game four we have nothing to lose. We have to play sixty good minutes of hockey and this starts with the first period. Our energy cannot be used to go to the penalty box, we have to play hard but smart. Every game we had two-three guys not playing their best, and in play-off hockey this adds up. We need everyone on the board tomorrow. We feel confident to take this game and go back to Bolzano for Sunday – added Marty Raymond.
The coaching staff is planning some line-up changes for Friday’s game.
